The Misfits
John Huston
1961, 125m
Adapted from Arthur Miller's own short story of the same name in Esquire's October 1957 issue, this American Contemporary Western wrangles a Reno divorcee, an old-school cowboy, his tow-truck driving best friend, and a bronc-busting Montgomery Clift. The film was the final production for Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe, who both died within a year of its completion.
